MJust got authored and I thought I’d introduce myself. And tell you about my cars. I love old Japanese cars, especially Toyotas. But mostly I just like cars that catch my eye and seem interesting. I have a little hobby of phitographing such cars. By way of example, here are two interesting cars I saw outside a show Saturday night
I daily drive an Infiniti Q70L It is my first big sedan after a Mazda Rx-8 and an Infiniti G37s. I’m a lawyer with a niche practice that makes me drive all over the place so it’s luxury and comfort is awesome. They don’t have the cool factor of most luxury cars but I got a lot more for my money than from any other luxury brand. I have to have a “regular” car and this one works for me I put 25,000 miles on it the first year, so it gets a workout
This is my true automotive love, 1981 Celica GT Sunchaser, ‘nuff said. You will see it again. Restoration is in progress. The goal is the JCCS in Long Beach. Zoidberg needs to go.
My other favorite toy is a 2001 Vespa GT4. So much fun - this is my steed when I ride around on the hunt for interesting cars and it is a smile machine
Last but not least is my wife’s Sienna. Best family hauler there is, and at the time it was the only minivan with 4WD. It is the Limited, and has literally every option they had at the time. We got a great deal because they were desperate to get it off the lot and gave us 0% financing
I like this thing, and do not understand the appeal of SUV’s. I can fold down one row of seats and remove another if I need cargo, and can comfortably carry seven.
Anyway, I have been reading and commenting here a little bit and I could not be more excited to be an author. I will try to share the interesting cars I find. This place is awesome and I am happy to be here with such cool people-auto enthusiasts are the best.
I leave you with the most interesting cars from yesterday’s hunt (too hot to hunt today)
Much love, Oppo. You are the best of the Internet. Thank you thank you thank you for welcoming me.
PS: This is Pumpkin. She’s dumb.
Last but not least, my other hobby is a koi pond I built in my back yard.
This picture is a little old- the plants have grown
Thanks for being you, Oppo!

From the photo’s I was guessing Sacramento (I lived there for 14 years). But then saw Fresno. Cars last a long time in the Central Valley if they are kept out of the sun.

I have been to JCCS. It is very very cool (I grew up in LB). I can’t wait to see that Sunchaser at the next C&C!
